Title: G60 arches again

After a set of G60 arches. Done a search but all posts on this are a bit out of date.

Anyone got a link to some online? (GPC website under construction still)

Couple of sets on ebay but seem expensive. Anyone know how much VAG charge for these new?

NLA dude, and therefore big money 2nd hand!

big boys toys do standard big bumper / small side trim gti arches still ,but they aint cheap either.

BBT do but they can only get hold off 3 out of the 4 arch's.

Had the same problem when i got mine but mate works for vw so managed to locate one at a dealers out of the uk.

Thanks dub90 and dubvrs. Just emailed BBT. Yeah Charlie said one of the arches is no longer available as well. Not looking good.  :cry:

are the rears different? i thought it was just the front that were bigger?

yes the g60 rears are bigger but not by as much as the front ones are

Yeah there both bigger, think its 12mm on the front and 22mm on the back? or other way round, dont quote me on that haha.

For some reason in America the G60 and 16v arches are the same size  :huh:

yeah US 90spec 16v got G60 arches and the 2.0 16v 9a engine from the Passat, just to set it apart from 90spec 8v a bit i guess, it was their equivalent 'top spec' MK2 since they didnt get the G60 or Rallye.

didn't GSF used to do G60 arches for cheap? I would love a full set but can't justify spending so much!

gsf would have supplied gen vag arches, as there are no pattern ones available. since the supplies have dried up gsf dont do em any more.

Yep just got the email saying there now discontinued. You would think Vag would manufacture some more now their supplies have run out if their is demand.  :sad:

I was able to get mine from my dealership, I got them on back order from germany.

Not sure how that works but i get most stuff like this from dealers. Depends how helpful the parts staff are.

Rears are not that noticable in size.

rang my local vw dealer, fronts they have in stock £63.50 each plus vat, part numbers are 191 853 717 d and 191 853 718 d

Have been looking for these items myself, will try my local dealer for a price on these and see what comes up.  In Ireland, sometimes find that dealership stuff is a lot more expensive. I have two new genuine side skirts also, does anyone know if these will fit a 1989 Golf?  Are the sills on a 1990 on (big bumper models) different to suit the side skirts?

skirts will fit, but you need a fitting kit. various clips and sticky strips, dealer can help here and i think even gsf sell it
