Basically me and a mate are thinking of buying a Vento VR6 that i have seen up for sale locally, purely to spend a bit of time getting it to its best and then possibly selling it on.
It is a completely standard Silver 1993 Vento VR6 with 91,000 on the clock with good service history, as it is now it needs a few bits doing to it and a good tidy up!
Im just after a rough price for what this would be worth when it is in a decent condition with tax and mot ect..
I know this is a hard question when i dont have any pictures ect.
Any help appreciated!
Cheers, Richard

Get a couple of pics up if you can....
very hard without seeing a car to give you an idea, i'd say anywhere from £900 to £1200.
Thing is with these early vr's is that their chain tensioners and guide rails are very weak, so check this before going any further.

Ok cheers mate, is it just a case of listening to if there noisy? So have the newer VR6's got different chain tensioners then or is it just that they are older?

Yeh basically...when you start it from cold you will most definately hear a rattle, if after 5-10secs its still there or while your driving it think carefully, can cost about £500-700 to be replaced unless your mechanically minded.
Later vr's, obd2 had stronger parts to try and combat these problems although even late vr6 engines can suffer from this.

Ok kool cheers for the info mate. Will have to take it out for a test drive and see what it sounds like.
Also on the sides at the bottom it looks like a piece of trim is missing, underneith the doors above where the sideskirts would be you can see where something is missing. Are these suppose to have sideskirts as standard?

Yeh, should be about £25 from the stealers.
