Title: Drivers door doesn't always open after pressing key fob
Post by: starlingadey on 25 January 2010, 09:45
Anybody else ever experienced this? Doesn't happen everytime. Locks ok and opens passenger door/doors (if pressed twice...5 door)

Yours is probably set up the way mine was. 1 push only opens drivers door and 2 opens them all. This can be switched off using the vagcom. I got mine removed after getting annoyed with it.

Meant to say...thought it might've been the fob but sometimes door doesn't open even when pressing the interior button for locking/ unlocking???

You can change the lights/locks/etc settings in the MFD.

i've had this ongoing problem for ages now. VW say there is a wiring issue somewhere towards the battery/fusebox end, and they will have to trace back from the lock mechanism to find it. £80 an hour till they do.

do your wingmirror/siderepeater/LED door light still work? mine have all gone dead. no power to door except the window.
