hi all just wondering if my s1 seats for mk1 escort rs will fit my gti if anyone has any info would be great to here what it is cheers sean.
-
With the correct subframes I don't see why not
If you don't have the correct subframes then it's nothing a welder can't fix
-
With welding yes
-
They wont go straight in you would need to swap the subframes and modify them.
-
ok cheers guys for the help i will have a look it to that tomorrow.
-
With a bit of adjusting any seat will fit on any subframe with a bit of thinking. I have put Subaru Impreza WRX seats in mine. Took a bit of thought and about 4 hours of graft but they are in now !!!!!!!

Seats look great and really comfy....have not put pics up yet as they are a different colour to the original back seat. In the process of pricing up re trimming with the original interior material. Price I have at the moment is too high, could buy another car for it lol !!!!!! Got a Mate in the trade will get him pissed and tap him up !!!!!!!!!!! Cheers Deano

These are Blue (of all colours) but came up at good money and are in good condition. No rips or tears, no dirt patches and no sagging bolsters anywhere. Plan is to use the original GTi trim from the old seats which I have carefully removed and then retrim the edges black to match. Will look awesome when done but as stated been quoted 400 quid to have it done....seems expensive, hoping my mate will do for about 100 quid.

lookin forward to seein the pics.

As promised Guys here are the pics....nothing special yet but when they are retrimmed they will look very good !!!!!!!!!
Let me know your thoughts :undecided: :undecided: :undecided:

Look good but as you say definately need a retrim.
Anyway you could dye the material somehow in the meantime til you can afford to have em retrimmed?
-
Thought of that myself..not too sure though.

Strange you should say that as the first thing I tried was the rattle cans on the back seat which I was not using anyway  :grin:No Good

Not hard to fit Mate but very awkward. Took some doing to fit the subframes to them and also scrapped the original seats in the process. Took about four hours in total. Price wise you should find a set for about 50quid if you're quick. They sell quickly but are really comfy. I paid 40 quid for these with the back seat but did not attempt to fit the rear seats. Cheers Deano
-
cheers mate might look into them now....
-
Just seen 3 sets exactly the same as mine on E.Bay with a Buy It Now of 40 quid....well worth the dollar.
-
I'm really impressed with that Deano they look awesome! even that colour lol!
Get them black and they will be looking sweet!!!
