Knowing the gearbox code & what car it came from might help those with the knowledge.

 i only wanted a nice short and sweet post, but no lol

right, i have a 1989 1.8 8v, pb.
mated to that i have the gearbox from an early( i forget the year) mk3 2.0 8v gti.
the clutch has now expired
i have a perfectly good clutch from a 1.8 16v kr (my old corrado's engine)
will this clutch fit my 8v?
