Its all been said before really, but some nice pics. Basically, if it was £3k cheaper it would have 5 stars and be the greatest hot hatch in the world

Nice little review thanks for the link...
Nice to see Someone thinks the manual gearbox is great ( unlike autocar! )
obviously they also appreciate the DSG
-
Never noticed that! Thats the first review I've seen that says the manual is great and they wouldn't tick the DSG option.
I'm hopefully getting my 'first drive' on Saturday - 3 door DSG, so hopefully it will be good. It'll give me enough time before my build week is locked to change from DSG to Manual if I decide I hate the DSG!
I'm also hoping that if I take the missus' old man with me, the salesman won't feel the need to join us on the testdrive!

"distinctive LED rear light jewellery (an option elsewhere in the range)" - lol not UK
Also was interesting comment they made about why VW picked the previous Mk5 engine and not the mk6's.
It seems a very good and honest review.

Also was interesting comment they made about why VW picked the previous Mk5 engine and not the mk6's.
They say it's easier to get big power from the old GTI engine but the truth more likely is that it's the tried and tested unit from the S3/TTS so it was an off-the-shelf solution for what is going to be a low volume car.

I get the impression it's an Ed30 engine with some slight tweeks so keeping the development \ production costs down I wonder.

keeping the development \ production costs
^^^^^^^^ Less R&D = more profit.
