Title: Gear stick revolves 360 degrees....

Yup, it used to turn a bit, but now I can turn the stick completely through 360 degrees (the reverse gate thing turns as well as part of the stick) what can I tighten up to prevent this - or do I have to replace the mechanism (think its the de-dent cup thing) which sits below? Is it the pinch bolt (and where is this incidently) Any ideas would be great.

gotta change the cup and ball at the bottom of the stick, what prevents it from spinning is a pair of lugs on the ball which lock into slots in the housing

a-ha - well I will get it ordered - I know its a bugger to change though... will get it dont at next service methinks... Thank-you

It's not that difficult to do if you follow the guide it all fine.
