Title: Problems starting!!

Hey people just a quick question

I have a 90 8v gti just recently having a problem starting, it ticks like it wants to start but need to give it a bit of throttle to get it going

any ideas of what could be causing it??

There are a few threads recently about starting issues. Have you checked the coil,dizzy,rotorarm, leads?
