On a Drivers side seat the catch to release the seat forwards should be on the outside of the car right?? Also standard door trims should  look like what?? Do they have a pocket and speaker??

I take it u mean the catch to put the seat forwards ie on a 3 door??? if so , yeah it should be on the door side of the seat.

my mk1 didnt have a pocket  :-\ did have a speaker tho

Yaeh thats it i think someones swapped the backrest over.
speaker where does that fit? Pocket??

What model and year of Mk1?

Its a B chasis MK1 GTI 1981 i believe??
