Title: Sharing some love for my mk2, and hatred of potholes!
Post by: kittie on 20 January 2010, 12:50
Started it for the first time today after it had spent the last 7 or 8 weeks on my driveway, through freezer temperatures, snow, ice, damp and all manner of nastiness.

Of course he started and drove absolutely faultlessly (except for the battery needing a charge naturally!)

Well pleased  :smug:

Not so pleased having to avoid all the HUGE potholes however, they are really, really bad around here. All these years of spitting a bit of tarmac into the holes have come back to bite the council's arse well and truely.... I don't know what they'll do now, probably just spit some more tarmac into the holes though

I couldn't avoid a pot hole earlier smashed the front left wheel into it and I can feel the tracking is off now. :( Least I've got a full new set of wheels for it soon :)

I lost a tyre and a drop link to one just after I got my golf. Anyone would think we didn't pay road tax.

I know what you mean Kittie, Went out in mine last weekend for the first time in about 5 or 6 weeks. Big smile on the face - awesome. Had to avoid the streams of snow melt running across the road in my case - roll on spring.
