Title: Buying advice

Hi all im thinking of buying a amp to run 4 speakers. will a 2 channel amp be able to run this or do i need a 4 channel amp. I am going to run 2 x 6x9s  and 2 x10" door mounts. thanks Andy

say you have one channel: and 1 6*9 and a componant up front and they both need 4 ohms this is what will happen: putting two source's on one channel will cut the ohm rate by half so in theory one channel alone will be running at 2 ohm now most amps will be sort of ok with this but try and find an amp that can run quite well at this ohm. normally when you buy a jl audio amp it will give you what it can handle. WITH ME!! im not im fooked too much drink so what you need is an amp that can go down to 2 ohm per channel but when you do this normally the wattage increases so ur winning already! but these days considering how cheap 4 channel amps are your better going that route

Just bought a pioneer 35w x 35w 2 channel. Whats the best i can get from this all i want is a crisp clear sound and not loads of bass.

depends gonna struggle a bit you just using a pair of speakers or 2? just read ur post again running 2 pairs at that wattage will probably end up damaging them, my advice just run components up front and make sure there not too power hungry
