Title: Moody MK3
Post by: Justins145bhpMK1 on 29 July 2003, 11:06
Hi all, got a problem with my regular ride, 96 MK3 8v. Occasionally when I pull up at say a rounabout the cars revs drop right down almost to stalling and then pick up and it idles normally.

Its becoming more frequent and this morning I went to pull out when the revs were still low and id stalled, lucky the range rover coming straight at me had ABS.

Anyone had a similar experience??

Justin,

I had exactly the same problem with my 96 8v GTI. Try having the throttle body cleaned out with carb cleaner.
I had this done to mine and I couldn't believe the difference, runs like new again now!

Hope this helps.
