Title: gti dash???

i have a gti cabby its been sitting in my garage for a while and now the dash lights dnt work with ignition on, but they do with ignition off and also the battery light is on with the lights on, it must be an earth problem somewhere but i havn't had time to fully investigate yet , just wondered if anyone had any quick ideas from personal experiences????

id say earth issue, check the brown wire from the clocks. try splicing another earth to it direct to chassis somewhere
