Title: hello.....1999 1.8gti turbo ......bit of help please

 :smiley: hia im due to buy a mk4 gti T just came over from 106owners club i had a 106 gti !

was wondering about getting it remapped now some people have told me this car can be mapped to add an extra 6obhp !! i have never owned a turbo and was just wondering is this safe ?? also is there a really big difference in performance and what sort of 0-60 times would i be looking at ?

Have a look at the mapping section or MK4. You will get sensible answers there mate.

welcome along  :cool: had my 1.8t remapped for 4years (212bhp) and no problems apart from a cluitch but it had done nearly 90k on the same clutch  :smiley:
