can anyone give the part numbers for golf g60 wings left and right and the arch liners if at all posible?
-
i thought the wings were same as all mk2's ? (not counting the rallye obviously) and just the plastic arch trims are bigger ?
-
the g60 wings are different, not obvious but the mount points for the arches are a bit different from normal mk2 ones
-
g60 wings are sort of 'ready rolled' as the g60 had a slightly wider track so they give you better clearance if your car is slammed!!! they have a different inside lip to clear the wheels, but i've also heard that for some reason the fit isn't as good as regular wings. apparently the gap between the door and the wing is bigger, but thats just what i've heard.
the only part number i could find is..... 191 821 021 D you may have to change the final letter to get the other side, but its a starting point.
-
your right!! the g60 has a bigger/wider front axle and therfore wings and i have heard the fit on a mk2 isnt greeat but i'm fed up having to grind my wings every weejk so anything is worth a go. cheers for the number btw. plus i can weld in a wing vent while im at it. result!!!
-
word up! only thing about wing vents is......depending on what you want one for they will not allow more air into your filter unless you have a scoop on it. this is because of a thing called the bernoullie effect. which is a physics thing which basicly means that as you are pelting along, the pressure outside your wing is lower than on the engine side, so will actualy suck air out of your engine bay rather than force it in. if you want it for cooling purposes then i guess it would be sucking out hot air?
this is basicly how planes fly, the shape of the wing makes the air move faster over the top of the wing which decreases the pressure and sucks the wing up. or something like that :P
however, as we all know wing vents look damn cool and the difference you would notice would probably be minimal, so do it!

but i'm fed up having to grind my wings every weejk so anything is worth a go.
do you have some weird metal that grows back? ???

cant see it being a 191 code as G60 and Rallye are under 357.
191 is for Mk2s, but G60 and Rallye had their own class number due to the huge amounts of parts that are different.
-
i only listed the number i found and that was one that the bloke from 'the golf' used to order his front wings for his g60.
whats the right one then?
-
no idea. i'm just trying to make sure you get the right part first time.
-
right
according to the etka the
left hand wing for a g60 is part number 191 821 021 d
and the right hand wing is 191 821 022 d
-
VW part numbers are offside wing 191 821 022 D
offside dirt sheild 191 809 962 B
Nearside Wing 191 821 021 D
Nearside dirt sheild 191 809 961 B
Hope this helps you out, Work at a main dealer so i got etka
-
which is exactly what i just said above and i got etka but dont work at main dealer  makes it loads easier to walk in with a printed sheet and say 'get me this biatch! '
