Title: Water in Footwell.
Post by: christomk3gti on 16 January 2010, 00:46
Sorry bet you guys are sick of this question...

anyway water in the drivers footwell.... thought it was due to the crappy weather and me gettin in and out and wetting the floor... but its not drying out really.... anyway.. I've read that taking off the scuttle pannel and clearing the drain holes out... Is there any other drain holes i should be aware of and clean them out aswell??

Many thanks

Christo

There are also some drain holes in the corners of the sunroof opening (if you have one)

If the scuttle panel and sunroof drainage holes are all fine. Try taking the door cards off and then put a hose all over the car you should then see where the water comes from. I had to change a window motor which meant ripping all the plastic covering off the door...now i have water leaks!!! I have put new plastic and sealed it off..no more leaks for me
