Fuse box on a mk1 cabi (83) where is it? and will there be a fuse for the rear fog?
regards
Phil

Yup indeedy, if 83 is same as 91 then the fuse box is under the kick panel of the passenger side, you might have a bit of board clipped in to hide it. ;D The rear fog will be fused but it might not have a fuse of it's own, so it might be in with say the reg plate lights or the dash lights if you know what I mean. What's the problem ? If the fog isn't working then check if anything else isn't, lights, indicators etc could be lumped in with the fuse of one of those. If you need anymore information then let me know and I'll see what I can find out for you. :)

No worries mate, I've got a list of fuses in the book for my car so if you need to know anything give us a shout, I suppose the numbers might have changed on the fuse box between 83 - 91, but don't know about yours but the list of fuses on the fuse box board on mine is in German, how rude ! ;D

My cab is 83 and the fuse for the fog lights is seperate and clipped to the side of the fuse-box

Yep I have a 83 cab and mine is on the side of the fuse box as well - just checked.

Check out;
www.volkswagen.msk.ru
Look down the left hand menu for Electrical Components (There is some English here!) Then on following page scroll down to Golf I and you can download pdf's for electrical diagrams and diagram of fuse/relay panel.
hope it helps!
