Title: New to VW and forum

I bought my VW Golf GTI mk1 1.6 a few months ago and have just been sorting out ready to hire it out.  It's mint and everything's virtually done - but finally decided to bite the bullet and overhaul or swap the engine.  If anyone knows of a decent 1.6 or 1.8 replacement engine knocking around....

hi,very new to forum sites and owning a vw.jst got myself a x reg golf 1.8t.dnt no much bout aum engines bt liking it so far!jst fitted dcat pipe 2day cuz old cat woz nakerd,engine light still on can garage turn this off or do i need to gt it remapd.
