Title: 280mm brakes

off what cars can you get the hubs that will carry the 280mm brakes got everything else just need the hubs will any mk3 fit cos i come across these quite a bit but not sure which ones if any i can use

You will need the hubs from either a golf or corrado 16v/ g60,which you can sometimes find on ebay for a reasonable price,not so sure if the mk3 hubs fit (i take it your putting them on a mk2 gti?) but im sure someone will be along to confirm shortly. :smiley:

Mk3 ones the balljoint is off centre compared to the mk2 iirc. its slightly further back..

mk2 golf 16v/corrado/seat ibiza cordoba toledo and i think passats also
just check that the hub doesnt already have the brake caliper carrier built in and they should be ok
do a search and you should find all the info for this

I thought that you could use mk3 hubs as long as they're from a 4 stud model with 256mm brakes :undecided:

yeah MK3 4 stud ones are same as MK2, just as above needs to have at least 256mm brakes. MK3 cabbies a prime source for these, starting to see these often in scrappies now

There's a lot of Passats and SEATs out there with 256mm and 280mm brakes fitted to them, just the same as G60s.
