Title: Golf GTI Stereo
Post by: ch33ky_monk3y on 28 July 2003, 15:34
Does a standard 8V GTI come with 4 speakers? I can see the speaker housing in the rear doors but can't get any sound despite adjusting the fader control on the unit.

Wondering whether it only comes with 2 front speakers wired up from the factory.

Thanks

My '97 P 8v has got the standard Sony Head unit and speakers. It has 8 in total: 2 either side of the dash (above air vents), 2 in the front doors, and 2 in the rear doors with 2 tweeters by the door handles. As I say this is standard for the car (with 4 doors),

I've got the Sony single CD unit. I think it's the original one from new.

I guess this means my rears are not connected properly.

Thanks
