Title: HELP!! PLEASE!!

I  have been having a problem with my 2000 GT TDI 115PD. I have been losing a considerable amount of coolant. i.e coolant waring light coming on after a 100 mile journey or every week doing short journey's , The heaters are blowing a mixture of hot and clod air through and the water temperature gauge has a mind of its own ( Never goes past 90) I have had it into a garage and they can't find a leak and have also said that the water pump seems ok. Can anyone explain what is wrong?

Have you checked your oil to make sure it isn't leaking through there? It'll be a grey-ish colour if it has.

Biggest leak culprit is the coolant flange on the side of the head
