Title: Wiring Diagrams
Post by: demos on 10 January 2010, 03:21
Hi,
My 87 GTi was originally a G60 with Digifiz. The owner got tired of the engine's charger malfunctioning so a K-jet 16v KR has been transplanted. Also the cluster went bad and finding another fiz seemed impossible so they converted it to a regular cluster. The job was done very poorly (unethical) and the car ended up with a truly messed up wiring harness. I'm trying to restore the car. I've read this great thread which helped alot:

But I was wondering if anybody here has some true electrical diagrams? I trust they'd be easier to work on when dealing with such a mess.
Thanks.

Believe it or not, the back of the Haynes' manual sometimes prove helpful.   :nerd:

I have a pre-90 jetta diagram which is very usefull, though its a US model so engine managment not 100% the same. plus being an 87 yours is likely a k-jet, which isnt covered by this diagram either. but it should help a bit anyway. as said, the haynes covers the pre-90 models pretty well
