Title: RH wheels 17x7.5's Apparently *Rare*

 Apologies for a "how much should I pay" post, but been offered a set of RH Wheels 17x7.5 in need of light refurb identical to the ones on the on the red 4door side on picture ( sorry couldn't get into my photobucket account)

I seem to remember them costing a fortune when I wanted them a few years back just wondered what a reasonable amount to pay for them now was?

Bit skint at the mo' but could perhaps punt my 15x8s to fund them....

ive got a set of 15" version (et25) of those which are even rarer. Still dont know if im keeping them or not. 17" on a mk2 is wrong wrong wrong in my opinion

Yeah, 17's on a mk2 are probs wrong, but I was offered them for what seemed a good price, was wondering what the going rate was for them.
Thought about it and was going to sell them on the BMW forum to make a few quid, but I decided just to leave it in the end as I've got a few too many projects on the go at the moment.

I'm a wheel whore at heart though so gimme a shout if you do decide to sell them. :wink:

rh topline is what i thought i was gonna see then, The (early diamond cut) topline in 7.5 inch wide is my fave ever mk 2 rim

Yeah they were RH toplines thought they were the mutz back in the day, the set I was looking at were the later phase two version (without the engraved bit, still 17x7.5). Would've been sweet as an alternative but I think they've gone now, plus I'm uncertain as to whether they'd turn under my arches as the cars so low at the mo' :grin:

toplines are the name! Mine are engraved with the 7x15. Love em to bits and then some but i use my car for towing at times so when i had the golf country chromes on (et28) they rubbed slightly with a -40mm drop so an extra -3mm wont help me either

Sounds about right, don't see too many of those Country chromes kicking about.

Got a set of 5 p-slots which I'm in the process if refurbing but I never seem to get any time these days.

Promised myself I would roll my arches when I get the car in the body shop.
