well after havin a couple i got another cheap tonight... a 2000 aug 1.8t jobby, will post pics up when sorted...
3 door silver with recaros etc etc... , few bits to sort, bulb gone in passenger dipped headlight (are they H1??) , fuel flap havent tried the switch but looks like it hasnt worked in the past so its been forced, closes shut but not in the normal way, will investigate tomorrow along with light... couple of scuffs that need a touch up but with history and only 88k miles should be ok but no proof of cambelt or owt so ill either diy it with pump n tensioners / rollers or pay some one....
not doin alot to this one as its already on the split rim 16" bbs so ill tidy n polish them , and just a general tidy... thats it tbh

so a h7 bulb it will be quite happy to admit im wrong!! been away from mk4's for 3 years now so will take some getting back into....
yeah len the van went tonight mate and had a car n van lined up in its place as van tripled in price over the time i had it , so time to let go... good to be back in a golf after seein of the mk3 vr6 in feb 09 but hey... few teethin bits to sort but im not fussed , havent tried me new longboard (9' 2") in either yet so it might be a roof rack jobbie.. haha ..

well....... you can probably bet your boots on it me old mucker!!, let me get the belts/pump/tensioner done first then when ive got a few cheques coming in from some jobs ill get in touch mate, been out for a razz once it was insured tonight (mrs drove it home for me) and it does go well, thinks its alot quicker than my old agu audi sport but going from a t4 diesel to gettin in this its gonna feel quick.. will have to have a blip with the mrs gainst her mini cooper then i can see which is best... lol
you part of the r-tech bit topher or on yas own? either way if prices are good ill deffo be up for a tinker over the next month or so.. wish id have kept me dv007 from me audi instead of sellin it for peanuts... nevermind... pleased to have something to playwith any how!

yeah we sort something mate once i got belts/pump etc done as it aint been done yet and at 80k miles im brickin it after rebuilding the one that went bang!

Yeah i remember! I only recently sold on the last of the coilpacks you sold me that you got with the spare head :grin:
If there ain't much in the way of history give the oil a bloody good flush aswell... too many blocked sump pickup pipe horror stories recently!

yeah its low mileage but history is a bit hit n miss, so yeah a fully flush then cheap oil, hten drop again then decent oil (new filter again) , heard about the pick up porbs on mk4's since my last mk4 problems so deffo something to bear in mind, think im gonna get louth vw to do oil n filter n belts even if it cost me then ill tune after that... give me 4 weeks to clean the old girl up and ill be contactin yas mate, id have brought yas old one at the time yas was sellin but times were hard and didnt have the cash cause that was a ready sorted mk4 for insane money :laugh: :laugh:

well i hoovered it... (all of 2-3 hrs to get all the dog hairs / horse crap etc out of it...) , had the cambelt / tensioner / rollers / waterpump and oil and filter change after a good flush.. had it all done at louth volksworld for a very good price, saved me getting dirty and cold... have done about 200 miles in it now and mpg is a bit w@nk really (but that compared to my diesel t4 van lol)... temp gauge never gets bang on 90 , stays a nothc or two under all the time so may be overfueling as thinking its cold? topher thinks it may be thermostat, will leave for now and get shorted shortly...have washed it today and id dont come up too bad..

few bits need touching up here and there, think the wheels are gonna get refurbed then sold on to fund some bigger ones, i like them but they just dont look right compared with wheels ive had on previous mk4's... lol
once my wallet has recovered from cambelt bill other things will be sorted soon...

the correct spelling for tyres is just that <<<
how do you know there correct? they may be bald or have cracked sidewalls? or i may be carrying more than they can handle... not that you'd know unless your organ grinder bum buddy told ya....
