Title: brake bleed Q.
Post by: braderz on 07 January 2010, 00:25
began the gunsons eezibleed procedure earlier today as brakes are a bit spongy, got all setup, but i could not get the bleed nipple open on the right rear. The procedure says to start here so did not try any others. What can i do!? When i was doing this i left the handbrake off, does it need to be on, im going to try again with the wheel off but i wanna get it right before setting it all up again!

Put plenty of release fluid on the nipple and careful you don't snap it.

Lots of penetrating fluid required, leave for a few hours to work. what car is it?. On some you have to clamp the bias valve open on the rear axle.

Don't use a spanner, try undoing it will a small 1/4 inch rachet and socket, you will be applying pressure more centrally.
