sorted!
Looking nice. How good is the 16v in it? heard people have a lot of problems with that conversion.

Bought the car with the conversion in....with it being my first vw...i'm impressed with the performance it absolutely flies when your past 3500rpm....the speedo really moves....i've had the car for about 2 weeks now and have had no problems at all....(except the zorst which is know a Jetex system and has improved performance.
16v converion:
The conversion looks to have been carried out professionally, the engine and box is from a jetta 16v. and the loom has been professionally converted and fitted. Not a mechanic but there aren't and nasty loose wires and electrical tape anywhere in the engine bay. alllights work on the dash and the heater works perfectly. The car also has a rear disc conversion which works very well indeed for a 21yrs old car....all in all a bargain me thinks.

Adam - the conversion isn't that bad, once you have confirmed the engine type you want to go for.
I'm in progress of putting my 16V plan together, the biggest problem is that you have to bastardize the loom so much and if you don't get it right, your have problems all the time. Once I've completed my conversion I'm going to fully document it step by step so anyone else on the forum can benefit from it...
(I'm lucky to have some professional help on how to do the loom work to make life a little easier for me..... - it's all about who you know..... ;) )
Would be interesting to see a picture of your loom under the dash xxgomxx?
