I'm going to be replacing the front end of my Mk2 Golf GTi with a Jetta/Rallye front end at some point soon.
Can I use the original wiring for my current front lights on a Jetta/Rallye set, or will I need to use the wiring from a Jetta/Rallye?
Cheers.
-
Also, how much would you expect to pay for a good condition front end for a Rallye or a Jetta?
-
A Rallye front costs anything from £300 upwards, the Jetta will be cheaper. Not sure on the wiring.
-
Wiring for the Jetta is the same. Not sure about the rallye.
I put a Jetta front end on mine and after about 3 weeks regretted it. It make it look like .... well a Jetta!

Well, I've been offered a Rallye front end that's complete, from a show car so may take it. If I don't like it I can sell it again.
Just need to find out about wiring now.

I think what you need is corrado headlight plugs?
-
Maybe. My mate who's selling me the front end said that post '91 models are plug and play so I should be fine. But I'll bare that in mind mate, cheers.
£350, better bloody look the part when it's on!
