Title: ABS and traction light??
Post by: shagmeister on 05 January 2010, 16:16
Hi all, was driving my 02 mk4 150pd gti through town this morn when the ABS light came on and moments later the traction control light cam on. I pulled over and restarted the car and the abs had latched but moment later the traction light fluttered a few times and now both lights are latched on. Anyone any ideas on how to start fault finding?? Am thinking that as it has effected both systems it could be a front wheel speed sensor?? Or should i be looking deeper than that? Thanks all, enjoy the slipperies

not overly helpful but if you get an fault code reader or vag-com. it should make your life alot easier.
but yes you could be right.

Steve_PD had this

ABS sensor was disconnected.  Check that they are plugged in and for any wiring faults on the loom
