I'm i need of rear brake discs and i'm going to stick with the standard 8v rear discs as I simply don't have time to convert to anything bigger.
Are the GSF ones any good? or Have people purchased them of Ebay? Just curious as I don't want to pay the earth for them either!!
Ta.

P.s they are 239mm right? Its a 1990 digifant.

Cant remember the rear size but you dont need to upgrade them at all as they do bugger all normally.
Pretty much any discs from any source will do and theres no need to go spending a fortune on fancy expensive ones, stock parts are more than man enough for the job.
IIRC (Im sure I changed mine for the last MOT so should remember lol) the bearing is built into the rear discs so you need to budget for new bearings at the same time unless your happy removing the old outer bearing race from your existing discs and re-using that although thats a risky way of doing things as you can guarantee they will fail due to sods law of mechanicing.

Pretty sure all rear discs are the same for mk2s, as they don't do anywhere near as much as the fronts. Have a look at this guide for info. It's for a mk3 but the parts are the same.

Cheers both, I thought as much and I will be replacing the bearings on both sides. I'll make sure that the bearing races are pressed in before I take the old ones off. I'm waiting on a set of irwin bolt grippers too, to get off the bloody caliper carrier bolts...They are on order too, from VW.
Cheers
