Title: painting calipers

now it said red on the tin, but looks kinda pink to me. here's a pic, but they look red in the pic. weirdness. Fielder recons it's cos of the rust.

It does like kinda pink like! :-\ surely ya cleaned them up thou before painting them ??? n kerb-age on ya alloys? :D

All I did on mine was clean them off with a wire brush and acetone and then used black primer before hitting them with hammerite red. When i brushed on the hammerite i was mad that the looked covered in streaks. Funny thing is it all flowed together and looks really good though.

I'll be repainting mine with that soon as ben's dad did their mk4's with hammerite and they're really red

that stuff is hard as nails too mate. My car gets washed every week to two weeks with the pressure washer and it has yet to chip the paint off or fade in about 9 months on the car.
