We've voted the best, now lets vote the worst.
I say the MK3 8v wins this one
-
Beetle.
Complete arse car
-
I had a beetle for yers and have a MK3 *v as a daily runner. There is a lot worse. I vote VW Fastback...hideous.
-
which was the best?
-
There was 30 years between the bug and MK3? Can hardly draw a comparison..
-
It has the be the MKIV GTi, the Turbo was ok, but the GTi was truly a dog of epic proportions.
For what its worth I had a MK3 8V as a company car and I thought it was pretty good, not a MK2 by any stretch of the imagination, but a very competent car.
-
YEah MK4 GTI is dreadful without a doubt, not worthy of a GTI badge.
-
>:(My MK4 GTI 20v Turbo I have to say is by far one of the best GTI's I have ever driven ;D
-
Mk IV GTI (all) = no fun, I have drove the 115bhp, 180bhp, and V6 4Motion and all are too boring.
Mk3 GTI - 16v/VR6 are fast, but 8v isnt THAT slow i found a 0-60 time of 8.7secs standard
Mk2 & Mk1 - tin boxes compared to newer GTI's and look horrid (no offence) but are supposed to be excellent to drive and throw about.
-
Do you rate any golfs then? ;)
-
Actualy the MK3 GTI 8v's 0-60 time is 10.1 sec :P
-
mk3 8v very boring mk4 estate agents runaround :-*
-
cheeky B@#stard
-
Mk1 scirocco looked arse - handles fine though.
But the Beetle really is plop.
-
cmon guys, one word:
caravelle
Regards,
Tin
-
pick the obvious i guess lol
-
I don't see any of the administrators giving there apinion ;)
-
what about the "Sharan", just for the name alone!
-
Caravelle?, Sharan?, bit harsh , they're both pretty capable of doing what their designed for( speaks the bloke who's old enuf to know better and got 3 kids !), the Mk4 GTi (not the turbo) should never have worn the GTi badge and then a Mk4 GTi with a diesel engine, what the hell were they thinking!!!
-
Polo harlequin.....what was that all about!!
-
then a Mk4 GTi with a diesel engine
i was going to mention this but stopped short as they did have Mk2 GTDs on the Continent. so really, the BMW Mk4 Golf GTI Diesels are nothing new.

Tin
