Title: Ordered My GTI
Post by: Captain Sensible on 29 December 2009, 19:53
I got my GTI ordered today at Arnold Clark Greenock and the good news is I got eleven and a half grand for my outlander.
Strange as Arnold Clark Paisley only offered ten grand for my outlander.

Spec
Pearl Black
Xenon Lights
Up graded touch screen cd player with Dynaudio Speakers
Monza Shadow Alloys only wheels can get !

So very excited and happy.

Would be very grateful if someone would be kind enough to up load a picture of a Pearl black GTI If possible for me to dwell over

Good stuff ! Now you'll be stuck between wanting to clean it to keep it shiny and not wanting to for fear of scratching it...
Yea I know what you mean,  it was my wife’s choice of colour which I don’t mind as it’s the driving experience that im after. But I can be found most Sundays during the spring and summer giving my car a lick of wax , a vacuum and dash board cleaner. Im a sad old git but I like to see a nice glaze from my cars.

Well done. That looks like a good spec also.

Did they mention the waiting time at all? I take it they wouldn't budge on the price etc?

Unfortunately I did not get a discount , however I got one and a half grand more for my car than three other dealers were offering plus I got in on the nick of time to miss the 2.4% price increase on the first of Jan.
They have told me the car will be ready in April, we will see on that one.
Also took out the service plan for 250 which is great value and the top up insurance in case it gets written off

Snoopy many thanks for the photos you have made my night

I took out the service plan as well on my gti , april delivery i hope .but i have found there is a vast difference on the top up insurance on the web from £200 to about £500 for 3 yr cover
so i will look into it more before i commit to my dealers offer  they wanted £550  even the salesman told me to check round  on the web first

How much did they charge you for the GAP insurance as you can easily get it for less than £150

http://www.ala.co.uk (http://www.ala.co.uk) are doing £10k cover for £138
Plus if you go through www.quidco.com (http://www.quidco.com) you also get another 10% back so that works out at £125 for 3 years cover
