Title: front subframe / steering rack
Post by: Roverdose on 29 December 2009, 14:07
one of the bolts that fixes the steering rack has sheered, i am unable to remove it but you can wigle the head around underneath, whats holding this bolt in? a loose captive nut? it will not come out!!!

im pretty sure they are supposed to be captive bolts. have you tried tapping it through with a hammer?

yeah just tap it out with a hammer. its got like a toothed shank to stop the bolt spinning in the subframe when you're trying to do up the nuts
