Hi
Was thinking of getting a set of those quad headlights, do they come with all the right connections for just a direct replacement or do you need to mess about with wiring?
Where the best / nost cost- effective place to get them?
Thanks

Straight fit.. plug and play :)
Ebay/forums probably your best bet. Genuine Hella ones in good condition can sell for between £100 and £150.
Cheap ebay copies are £120 brand new so worth peanuts second hand.

Early cars had different plugs but easy enough to change.

Cheers for the replies. Mine's a '96 P-reg so should be fine

Thats why you need to fit HIDs to them. Just fitted HIDs to a members on here car on sat. They look amazing. I also had them fitted to my motor with hellas so much difference.
Before anyone says it, not illegal just not to the VOSAs requirement.

People can say whatever they want about the legality of HID's but my mate was pulled over by VOSA in Ipswich and they never mentioned his so they can't be that worried about them can they!!!
-
HID's are 100% not legal
-
yep joe, 3 mots passed with mine...
they are really good
-
HIDs aside, Phillips X-Treme power or Osram Nightbreaker bulbs also do the job over stock bulb. I have Phillips bulbs in the mk5 and in the Vento and they are miles better than the stock bulbs.

HID's are 100% not legal
You kidding, right?

Where does it say its illegal?
Your "NOT permitted" to use them and its against the VOSA conditions.
Legal - Lawful debate....

Xenon is legal AS LONG AS it's installed with an appropriate HID kit and bulbs (up to 6k). End of story.
