Congratulations I bet your looking forward to getting behind the wheel.

What I don’t understand is my dealer has told me there is a waiting list of three to four months. Was yours a demo ?

Phoned around a few dealers and managed to get a showroom car, didn't have everything I wanted but I hate waiting so didn't fancy a factory order. I did the same 3 yrs ago when I wanted a White TT, phoned nearly every Audi garage in the country but found one in the end!

I would of liked the phone prep on the gti, how easy is the Fiscon kit to install and does it work with the iPhone?

Cheers..

If theres not a fitting day near you, its pretty simple to DIY!
Gently pull of a panel, remove 4 torx screws, pull out the stereo, and plug the Fiscon box in the back!
That will take 5 mins...
It may take a bit longer to run in the Mic cable depending where you want it - but you could probably do the whole thing in an hour with a VERY limited knowledge of ICE!

Cheers for the info, I think I'll try the diy option when I get it as I'm in Essex!

Here is a VERy simple guide Aidy posted on the MKIV forum on how to swap the stereo.  Its the same principle really.

tho I believe I'm right in saying that you need to VAG.com it to enable all the features right?

good thing you didn't get the factory prep bluetooth as that is not compatible with the iPhone. you need a phone with a Remote SIM Access Profile (RSAP) bluetooth to be VW factory kit compatible (i.e. most newer Nokias).

Nice spec though dude... I bet some peeps here are spitting blood since some have been waiting 3-4 months plus!!

Yeah all Aug orders have been at least 4 months! and theres still 75% of them aug orders who are still waiting! so its more like 5-6 months for the majority, thank god i was one of the luckier one's! (if you can say 4 months wernt too bad!)

5dr DSG, Carbon Grey, Leather, 18" Monzas & Rcd510.

- 5dr DSG: best combo
- Carbon Grey: best colour
- Leather: should read 40% leather, 60% plastic, but never mind...

Congrats, bet you can't wait

Good luck with the new car. Thats a nice colour you've went for, it was 50:50 between that and white for me....

Picked her up on Wednesday and thought I'd share a couple of photos with you all.. very impressed with it so far! Intended to clean it today but when I woke this morning she was covered in a layer of snow! Here she is:

Cheers for your comments! Ive just managed to wash it and it does look really good when clean.. I was a bit worried as I had only seen Carbon on a local demo car that I didn't intend to buy so didn't take that much notice of it but I'm really really pleased with it.

The garage that I bought it from had a white 3 door GTI in the showroom and it does look really good.. I think the resale of white will be ok now that its been around a little while.. people were unsure of it a few years back but when i sold my white TT in 2007 the dealer really wanted it as they were few and far between, he had been offered several black and grey cars but said that they were too common!

Lovely looking car Hawk. The moody skies in the photographs suit the Carbon Grey really well!

Hoi Hawk

A beauty

I have ordered the same one with the same alloys...I am driving a black one (MKV) at the moment for 4 years so carbon will make a nice change...
As a matter of fact I find it just a little more agressive and at the same time chique

Succes ermee !!!
