i don't know if the previous owner changed it to a manual from an auto or an owner before did it.this could explain why i have no reverse gear.

well my car is a manual and for some reason when i bought a new starter motor and went to fit it. when i took the old one off noticed it had a three holed starter which when i took it to my local motor factors turned out to be an automatic starter.so i got the automatic starter motor and fitted it now the car starts and i drove it out of the garage but when i tried to reverse it keeps slipping out.so i had to try hold it in to reverse it back in.i got a new gear linkage kit to see if this will make any difference or not
