Mine is currently in the middle of the road stuck on ice after having to stop behind a car that had crashed and was blocking the road. Only route is backwards but there's 300 metres (uphill) of black ice and parked cars either side on a narrow single-lane road so that's not an option. Police can't/won't do anything and neither will the RAC. Just gotta leave it there til the morning and hope the ice melts a bit or someone comes and moves the car in front of mine so i can skid down the hill onto the main road. To say I'm a little upset is an understatement...

The car's basically a sitting duck, so hopefully no-one else will come down the road and skid into mine. Not gonna be a nice 12 hours.

I'm in Brighton. Most of the roads are sound but I'd come to my girlfriend's house to pick some stuff up for her and got stuck.

Frost shield FTW - took me 30 seconds to clear the snow  :smug:  made it to the A470 to find a copper and some cones stopping any further progress.  Never mind

basically a cover for the windscreen  Frost Shield  (http://www.betterware.co.uk/productdetails.aspx?pid=035641&language=en-GB)  Lay it across your windshield, tuck the sides in each door and leave overnight; stops any frost forming

No point having one for the rear as thats heated.

Saves me about 10 minutes each morning

Had fun in the Mk4 on monday night in Basingstoke, but had even more fun in the scoobie the other day on private land, spinning the car in its own length in second gear, just spinning round like Colin McCrae used to do when he won, and lots of driffting.
