Anyone having any issues whilst playing their iPods through the RCD310?
I have a 16Gb Nano (latest Gen), and find sometimes that when the song changes, the display on the stereo doesn't change and still shows the previous artist (MFD also shows previous artist).
Is it an issue with my iPod or the stereo?

It's the stereo - rubbish. The 510s have this problem too although they have an SD slot.
I asked the dealer to investigate - no issues found (surprise, surprise and ohhh so helpful).
All 4 of my iPods all work fine in other VWs (older stereos without the MFD operation).
Issues also with usb sticks not being recognised.
Sony Walkman works 100% after 2 weeks.
My dealers are normally quite good but didn't seem to keen to sort this one out.

Not seen this problem though USB, I would guess all the media in functions would have problems not just the IPOds?
-
The only problem I've had with USB is with standard memory sticks (no battery back up), now and again the RCD does not recognise it.
With the Sony Walkman (or equivelent) it seems to power up when you open the car, on instantly and every time.
Nit picking about a fantastic car but I wish VW would acknowledge these minor but annoying problems.

I think its a conflict in the firmware, it did it with my RCD310 and now with my RNS510. Its been in to stealers who couldn't find a fault, i kicked off abit and they replaced the media in part to see how that went. Still sticks, pain in the arse
