have anyone got the fr3 dog bone fitted in their car ,just wanna know does it cause vibration through the steering wheel ..?
-
i haven't. but i had the R32 one fitted to my AUM on monday, and poof! what a difference! can i put the power down? hell yes! not really noticed any difference in vibration, just a lot more power at the wheels!

i would say the dog mount wouldnt cause vibration on the steering wheel. More likely to be down to un balanced wheels, worn bottom arm bushes.
I have powerflex bushes fitted to my dog mount and the only vibration i get is down to the wheels needing balancing and worn bushes which i am going to replace with Audi TT solid bushes.

I think you'll be fine. I've got the R32 mount on my car and it's ace.

trust me it does cause vibration , i got a 034 motorsport dog bone on my car at the moment and is 90% stiffer compare to the standard dog bone and is cause vibration .... so now i just want something not so stiff ... i know the r32 dog bone wont cause vibration ...

As said the R32 one is very good

If its any help I got the THS Engine mounts on my TDI and vibration is minimal even on that so I would have thought the dogbone would be fine on your 1.8T
Bonus is that its cheaper than the R32 mount :afro:

I have the full set of mounts and didn't notice any change in vibration at all, well worth it.

Hi guys, sorry the picture is a bit rubbish, but can u please confirm i have bought an uprated one?

The main joint, (the circular bit) has a fair bit of movement and wondered if this was right or i needed to put a new, solid, bush in there?
Thanks Dave_IOW
(sorry for hijack!)

if theres alot of moving just by using ur hands then the bush is shot ...

I take it that this is the standard unit then, because mount i have brought is brand new?
