the people responsible for the Sheffield office are based at
Volkswagen Marketing
Yeomans Drive
Blakelands
Milton Keynes
MK14 5AN
You could always call them and request a switch to another VW dealer, that would be real slap in the face for the person responisble at your lame dealer, just a thought.

It's only because I have been promised a hire car after 20weeks + am I willing to wait for the car; i ordered on 29th August and am told wk10.  Having read your previous posts I want you to get your car. Having waited soo long, couldn't you get them to commit to a hire car? When you asked them, what did they say?
I just hope you dont regret cancelling...you choose the Golf for a reason, you should try to get what you want, no?.

If you do cancel what car will you choose?

No idea.

edit.
I did think about the pirelli mk5 when it first came out as it would go nice with the mk1 in the garage. So maybe thats an option.

Snoops, don't cancel mate, the car is worth the wait. i took my business partner to pick up a Volvo the other day, he was quite happy but when we were in it I was thinking how cheap and plastic like it was against the Golf.

However complain like hell as it sounds like your dealer is a c0k.

You guys with outstanding orders have every right to go off on one with VW. I can but admire your patience so far.
I opted for a pre-reg'd car as I didn't want even the 3 month wait earlier in the summer, I'd definately do the same again now with the joke waiting times, and I'd want a healthy good will gesture from VW for my loyalty too!!!

The Pirelli would be a very good alternative, that would have been my second choice.
