Title: mk1 cabriolet lifting points
Post by: vws on 13 October 2004, 21:04
Hi All,

I need to strip the underneath of the cabriolet and need to support it on axle stands. I will need to remove all suspension and wishbones and do not know where the best place will be to put the axle stands without causing damage to the body. I usually support the car on the wishbones but as i must remove these i have a problem. Any advice will be welcome

thanks in advance

What about the jacking points at the sides and put some 4 by 2 wood or whatever on top of the axle stands and spread the load down the side of the car to redistribute the weight :-\
