What's the best way to paint my audi pepperpot alloys want to do em matt black and a lime green lip
-
best way - a good pro wheel refurb company
cheepest way - rattle cans and masking tape
you pay for what ya get springs to mind on this one dude

Like kells said you got two option. I'd probably have a go at rattle canning yourself, ive always found matt colours and easy to rattle can on.

Easy enough wheels to do so rattle can FTW. See if you can get some wheel rim tape as it's curved perfectly for marking up lips that are on the face rather than 90 deg to the face if that makes sense. If you want a hand doing them give me a shout as I've done a few sets of DIY refurbs.

Cheers nick and kells there mint there's 1 scratch on the center cap and that's it
Would it be a better idea to get the tyres put on first (new obviously) but not pump up then paint them then go get them balenced??
-
Oh and rattle cans are my thing anyway I used to graffiti haha
-
it would be easier to paint them with the tyres off

If you can do them without tyres that's the easiest otherwise it makes getting paint in under the rim a bit tricky.

Cool cool ill get my backside upto kwik fit to get the tyres off then I can proper take my time
-
Leave the tyres off, it'll make life easier. Putting on tyres don't actually contact the rim so paint should be fine.
Rub down with 1000, prime, leave to dry.
Rattle can matt black, carefully mask off your valves.
Either rattle the lime lip on top or with semi tacky masking tape ( stick it to your shirt a few times to make it low tack)
Or get a pin striping brush, steady hand and setup a lazy suzy depends what you want.
Top tip wouldn't bother rubbing between prime and paint.
2nd one would be warm your wheel with a hair dryer, warm your paint under a hot tap prior to spraying...
Rest is just practice.
Good luck

Thanks for that neo quality
-
Oh and if you want the tyres removed, chineham tyres/scrappy seem to be the cheapest place.
