Title: Throttle cable grommet
Post by: Dave_IOW on 14 December 2009, 18:45
Ok, so after reading and trying many numerous different methods of getting amp cable / boost gauge vacuum hose into interior, it has come down to the throttle cable grommet.

Only problem is, this grommet does indeed have my throttle cable running through it

Is this possible (and safe) to cut open grommet and poke through my amp wire and vacuum hose, these will be the only things running through and amp wire will be 4awg i think.

Opinions please

Have tried one behind pollen filter, and running through door, neither of which i can do.

Thanks

personally i wouldnt run a power wire next to the throttle cable as it could chaff through, drill a hole on the passenger side and you can buy grommets, tif you do run it through the throttle grommet put some silicone around it after to keep the water out
