Well ive had my gti for just over a week and its not been out the drive yet, (too embarrassed to take it out with those rank 17s on)
Ive just bought my self a set of monza 2s which are away for a refurb on thursday, with a nice new set of F1s waiting to greet them.
My first set of mods are going to focus on the interior, i think ill go for a gti badge mounted on the OEM floor mats with brushed aluminium heater control surrounds and mirror dimples.
Anything else worth doing to the interior, any pics or links cheers.

I still don't understand why people feel so strongly against the 17s.
They're so similar to the 18s that I doubt anyone other than an enthusiast would tell the difference - it certainly wouldn't stop me driving my new car!
-
Yea they dont bother me TBH, i need 3 new tyres thats why i havnt driven it. So just decided to buy the new wheels just now, hopefully get to drive it monday when i pick up the wheels from the refurb company.

I personally prefer the 17s - but don't really feel that strong about either :)
Nice pics.... like the Zed!

Another 17" er.
IMHO, the car rides better on 17s anyway :) Granted, I DO like the Monza II, but the whiteworm issue sounded like too much of a pain.
You've also got the fastest colour

Most people wouldn't spot the 17'' wheels as you drove past.

They so arent, the 18'' are SO much nicer and are diamond cut.
Saying that there isnt much wrong with the 17''. Hell, I even ran the 17'' on mine for a year ;)
-
that looks spot on :)

Nice car mate & edition 30 alloys on mine after getting rid of the 17'' monza.
-
17's on mine too but if I had a penny to scratch my ass with it would be put towards a set of wheels, really not digging the 17" look :embarassed:
Looking good though :afro:

Cheers guys, yea that ED front end is a big improvement,
Thanks Hurdy, i take it awesomes prices are a bit OTT for the brake ugrade as ive seen some people who hav bought the kit for about 500 sheets, i take it that is from a seat dealer and how much of the awesome kit do i actually need, surely some of the standard gti hardware is reusable on the cupra/s3/r32 kit ???
