ive got a 1999 1.8 gti and the engine doesnt look like the pics people are putting up of theirs.....

i never even knew they did a non turbo- oh well never mind, its still a nice car- i thought it was a little on the slow side for a turbo lol

Mate..... you bought a car thinking it was a turbo ? You really should have looked into this more before buying a car! For instance, the price difference between the turbo versions and the N/A version!

I cannot actually believe you have a car, that you thought was a turbo?

Have you only recently bought it? Did you ask the owner/dealer if it was a turbo? How much did you pay if you don't mind? Miles etc?

Have you tried the 2.0 8V "Gti"  Now that would blow you mind.........
