Slight scratch on the driver door when I slipped and banged the door against the garage wall. Can't believe both dealer and VW Customer service offer no touch-up paint for 'CARBON GREY'
Any idea where to get them?
Cheers for your reply!

A quick Google found this http://carpaintrepair.co.uk/volkswagen-golf-touch-up-paint-2464-0.html (http://carpaintrepair.co.uk/volkswagen-golf-touch-up-paint-2464-0.html). I believe Halfords offer a service to custom mix paint for a particular manufacturer's colour, although I can't be absolutely sure of this.

They do mix paint, but thats into wrattle cans. But they do also sell touch up paint.
To be honest, for what the car is worth, i wouldnt dream of taking a "touch up pen" withing a mile of the car.

I know. It's right at the door edge. Too minor for anyone other than myself to notice. A door respray is a bit OTT.
Thanks Alan I'll try them!

I tried to buy a carbon grey touch up set a couple of months back and was told that they don't have it listed yet as the colour is too new. Pfff, what are we supposed to do in the meantime?!

You can achieve a good result with touch up paint. I used this thread on Detailing World for reference:

I have a carbon grey touch up which I bought from my dealer, they just went off the VIN.

interesting... this was one reason why I thought not to go with carbon grey... the fact that it might be difficult to get touch up paint!
