Title: will 225/40/18 fit a 18 x 9.0 wheel?

just a quick one! i have brought some 18" black bbs ch reps the front is 18x8 back is 18x9 and need some tires, a friend of mine can get me a set of brand new 225/40/18 falken fk452's for £185 i just need to know if they will fit the wheels??

i got the 225/40/18 tyres on my 8's i have about 2mm overlap to protect the rims, so i doubt you would want them on the 9's mate.

i have 225 and 235 on my 8.5Js. I wouldn't go with 225 on 9J but I guess you could 'stretch' them on...

i used to have 225/40's on my 9.5's and they went on fine and had a proper bit of stretch

Go for 215/40/18 up front and 225/40/18 at the rear,the stretch will help with clearing the arches if your on coilies and like to ride low.

will they fit? that's barely even a stretch man! some tyre fitters might refuse to do it but they're wimps. Places that fit truck tyres use higher pressures and can pop the rims on easy :afro:

As above they will be ok, just be carefull with the rim.
