Wheeler dealer program on Sky channel 133 is doing up a Mk1 Golf GTI now. Worth watching if you've got Sky....

I managed to catch the last ten minutes of the show. Looked like a nice mk1 except it was white. I was a little bit confused when he said it was a campaign model but it was on a Y plate. I thought all campaign models had to be on a A plate?

Anyone know?

Mark 1 campaign run out year was 1983 i think. He just wanted a set of campaign alloys for it did'nt he then if you only saw the last 10 mins prob would'nt have seen that bit. ;D
And you missed the beginning when the site got a little tv plug in the top left corner when he was going on about the best sites to look for info so JV you made it on to the telly. ;D

Loved watchin the proggy - was a nice mk1 in the end. Mechanic talked a lot of sense but he spent something like 25 hours on the car didn't he - surely didn't make a profit at that?

Whats the point eh?

they sold the programme to Sky, they made plenty at the end of the day.
