Title: Engine oil for MK 6 GTI
Post by: herbie911 on 08 December 2009, 08:24
I am expecting my car to reach 2000 miles in feb. Before I can floor it and start exploring its full potential, I am going to do a oil and filter change. Just wonder whether I can use Mobil One 0-40w for this car???

I agree with Steve - only use a VW 504 approved 5W-30. Personally, I use Fuchs oils in my cars (Titan GT1 Longlife III for the GTI) but Castrol is significantly cheaper.

The correct Mobil product would be Mobil 1 ESP Formula 5W-30.
