depends how you drive it  on my dull commute for 10 miles along the M40 i get any thing from 31 to 37mpg in the morning when im driving miss daisy. in the evenings its a bit more as i have woken up by then! on weekends when i go for a thrash its normally in the low 20's to 25, but that is hammering it and ive modded mine too

The Edition30 is an outstanding car, MPG around london is about 20-25 booting it!! On the Mway you should get about 32-35 at steady 70mph above that then she comes into her own get 28 mpg. Check Break pads for wear also coolent levels, if its a DSG put it into drive when stood still lift off the break see if it lurches forward and also in reverse. Reason for this is Mecatronic unit may have gone needs to go back to dearlers ASAP (big job) I have the same car now 11,000 miles never had a problem amazing car. I driven an ST and liked it very much but its a (ford) The GTi as more toys esp with DSG enjoy my freind thaks Steve30

as above really, town crawls will see between 24-26mpg. 70 cruise will see 33-35mpg. Considering its a high performance motor, it puts other cars like the ST to shame in all departments.

My advice is for gods sake man!! Buy it. Tis a cracking car and quite sort after.

Make sure it comes with plenty of history, or take a look at VW dealerships Computer to see its history.

Whats the spec/colour?

Considering its spec, being quite low, its abit too high an asking price imo.

Keep hunting , lots of the same spec for far less on Vw used configerator

oh and Red is quickest

The red ED30 is an awsome colour with colour coded trim. However black is in fact the fastest colour.

I would say its a bit over priced, fortunately with the end of a quarter/month coming you are buying at a good time to do some bargaining, offer them £18k and see what they say, be prepared to walk if necessary and let them sweat.

They'll possibly say they have other parties interested, but just stick to your offer and say they should let you know if things dont work out with the other parties.

Hardly anyone is going to buy a car like this before Christmas so it will be easy to screw them a little,

R

I can't help thinking that it is over-priced.

It is the same spec as mine (mine's an 08 but a very late one) and I paid £1750 less than that when I bought mine new...

OK it might be a UK sourced (mine's EU sourced full UK spec) car but for an 18 month old car with 18K miles it seems a little over the top.

The Edition 30 is a good car, especially for the money you pay... MPG? Best I've seen is 37mpg on the motorway at 70 with cruise on, worst would be high teens, I seem to average about 33-34mpg...

When I bought my Ed30 (used) it was £20k with 3k on the clock and only 6 mths old so you should be looking at £17k. Haggle.

 :undecided:

Not as well built as an Ed30
Not as quick as an Ed33
Not as nice an interior as an Ed30
Not as cheap to run as an Ed30

erm......why?
